Committee meeting (June 11th)

It was decided that this year’s charities to benefit from our takings at Shobdon Wood would be First Responders (£100), St Michael’s Hospice (£50) and the Shobdon new playground (£50).

Discussion of the Croft organised final race in the summer series, at Shobdon Court, threw up the need for helpers a) to prepare the course (strimming etc), b) to set out the course on the day (July 26th) and c) to supervise the refreshments.

The club will be taking on responsibility for the Ludlow parkrun on September 9th. At least 10 volunteers will be needed, and requests will be sent out nearer the time.

Any outstanding subs (£20 for the year) should be paid in promptly, either to Sue Davies, or via the website. Once your payment has been processed you will receive a UKA registration number which entitles you to a £2 reduction in race entry fees; increasingly race organisers are being asked for runners’ UKA number, which should throw up those who have not paid.
