For those of us who thought the Wrekin fell race was demanding, a look at the statistics for the Edale Skyline puts it in sobering perspective: 34km, 1400m ascent and Paul took 4hrs 09 mins 56 secs. Even more impressive was the time taken by the winner (Carl Bell, of Keswick AC) of 2hrs 37 mins 13 secs.
Well done, Paul, leaving nearly 150 runners in your wake, and another 15 or so who found the themselves unequal to the task, and pulled out. Glad you at least had some blue sky – forecast for next week is snow showers in the Peak District.
