Bala Triathlon

News
Despite being disappointed with his swim (cold feet apparently – poor lamb), Stuart Austin completed the Bala Standard Distance Triathlon in the excellent time of 2:17:52, enough to secure 167th place out of 725 finishers in this national ranking event. Conditions were very good and the event continues to attract a very high quality field. Neil Taylor completed the 1.5k/39k/10k olympic distance in a more modest 2:44:25, beating his brother Michael for the first time since 1992!
Kim Wood completed the Wyeathlon (400m/19k/4.6k) in a very creditable time of 1:35:58 to earn 24th place out of 39 female competitors, while Neil completed the event in 1:20:07 and Bryan Markham finished in 1:40:24.
Bryan looked remarably fresh at the end of the South Shropshire (Ludlow) Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 26 September, where he recorded a time of 1:57:47, including a very competitive run of just over 32 minutes for the 6.1k course.
And finally, not forgetting our triathlon expert Simon Norwood, who recently produced another outstanding performance to earn 13th place in the Hardwick Tewkesbury Triathlon (Sprint distance) in a high quality field of 171 competitors.
Overall, an excellent finale to the season from the growing band of Croft Ambrey (/ Hereford Tri Club) triathletes.
