Boxing Day 2013

News

A record 73 runners competed on a fine morning, over the soggy Croft Ambrey course. Toby Austin pulled away early on, but Suzanne had him in her sights throughout, finishing just 11 seconds behind. She was hotly pursued though by Tom Bridges (2 seconds behind) and Greg Black (another 4 seconds back). Stuart led home a line of Croft runners: Glyn, Dave G, Pat and Martin, with Lucton’s Toby Johnson then managing to intervene before another raft of Croft runners came home: Mick (the course record holder), Paul P, Jasper Robinson and dad Ashley, and Gary G. On the countback, Croft emerged as clear winners, even if our club president wrongly claimed allegiance to his second claim club! Congratulations to our young guns, Toby and Suzanne, and thanks to all who supported us on the day.
