Boxing Day

News

I’m sure you’re all already aware of the Boxing Day run at Croft Castle, a fun chance to get out for a short run (just over 2 miles, and some serious climbs) after Christmas. It’s the annual Lucton School Challenge, open to friends and families of people with connections to either Croft Ambrey Running Club or Lucton School. No running numbers or registration, just turn up ready to run at 11 (-ish)am. At the finish give your name and (temporary) allegiance (Croft/Lucton). Maybe if friends and family running ‘for’ Croft could wear something blue if they have it? There are light refreshments afterwards, for those who might possibly feel a need to top up their stomachs.

    1. Putting my club welfare officer hat on….We are hoping to keep this as a fun family event but we need to make sure everyone is safe. Hopefully the route will be marked but be aware it can be very slippery in parts, try to wear trainers with good grip. There are no age restrictions but all under 16’s must attend with a parent, guardian or other designated adult of the parents’ choice who will be responsible for their welfare. Under 11’s should stay within site of this adult at all times. Please be aware anyone who is not a member of Croft Ambrey running club will not be covered by club insurance. Hope to see you there! Sam
