The second round of the Shropshire Summer Series is, as the name suggests a classic, 3.5 miles to the top of Caer Caradoc and back. On a dry, clear evening Frank and Tom were the only Croft runners, Gary G came along for the ride but was still side lined by his damaged ribs, he did however  help out with marshalling and gave runners the benefit of his advice at the rather rickety final stile!

Frank, continuing his return to fitness came 74th in 34.49 (6th in category), Tom came in 92nd in 37.43 (1st in category – but no Guy or Gary!). The race was won by Duncan Birtwistle in 24.04, 1st lady was Emma Gould, 9th overall in 26.53. There were 110 finishers.
