Coniston Fell Race, Saturday 3rd May 2014.
This year a number of us are planning to take part in this classic fell race over 14km and 1065 metres of climb. Our intention is to hire a mini bus and go up to the Lake District early on Saturday morning, take part in the race, stay overnight, probably in bunkhouse accommodation, before travelling back on Sunday morning.
The race is a counter in the English Championship, entries will be at a premium, so anyone wishing to join us will need to pre-enter as soon as forms become available on 1 st March.
The exact cost is not known but is expected to be between £65 and £75, providing a minimum of 10 of us go up, plus the entry fee of £10 and food and drink!
