Darrens Dash

Three Croft runners took part in this 6 mile hill race organised by Mike Fawcett in aid of Longtown Primary School.The race involves a steep climb up onto the Black Mountains a fairly  level run along the Offa’s Dyke path before descending to to the finish at Longtown. Mike Ligema showed that he has not lost his hill running ability coming home in12th place,1st over 55 in a time of 52:53. Brian Davies  also made a rare appearance and passed 6 runners on the descent to finish 35th o/all, 1st vet 65 in1:02:29. Tom Davies finished 39th o/all, 2nd o/60 in1:03:27. The race was won by Hugh Aggleton in 43:11, 1st Lady Emma Bayliss in 53:53, there were 71 finishers .
