The course begins at Hereford Leisure Centre, Homer Road, and quickly slows the over-enthusiastic starters with the deceptive rise to The Starting Gate pub. Turning left at the roundabout along Roman Road it eventually turns left into the housing estate, winding through to Grandstand Road. After a long straight stretch to the roundabout at the bottom, the course turns left onto Homer Road again. Past Homer school the course ducks behind the Leisure Centre, bringing runners out onto the athletics track for a grand finish.
Four of us ran the first race with a large, very fast competitive field. Some runners had come from far afield, from both Cardiff and Birmingham directions. Based at the Leisure Centre, it had all the facilities you could want, helpful for those coming straight from work. I had some difficulty finding the results online after each race, but here is what I have gleaned.
Race 1 had 85 runners
