News

Another record turnout (over 150), on a course saturated by recent heavy rain. Ryan Bevis (Builth) won the men’s race, with Tim Clarke beating Matt into 3rd place. Simon fought hard, tho’ not fully fit, to finish 15th (54.33), and young Dave picked up places during the race, coming home 23rd (55.34) just ahead of Dave A (55.36). Well done both. Mark (26th) and Dan (28th) were close behind. Jon (35th) and Pat (36th) also came in under the hour as did Neil P (39th). Gavin (41st) crossed the line in 60.22, with Ashley (45th) running a good final lap, finishing in 60.58. Ian Price reappeared for this race and came home 1st over 60, 48th in 61.47. Neil T (53rd) ran well (63.08), finishing ahead of Gary G (61st – 64.55) and Steve (62nd – 65.03). Brian D also made his regular annual showing, finishing, appropriately, 65th and 1st over 65 in 65.35. Martin was 71st, Frank 78th and the remarkable Tom, less than a week since leaving his hospital bed, 81st. Daren bravely struggled round, not as fit as he’d like to be, in 90th place. Susan Marr again won the women’s race, in 33.00, but Sue came 3rd (35.18), just ahead of the evergreen Alison (35.42) and Nicky (36.29). Rachel (24th) battled round in 41.44, to complete the A team, who are now 4th, but only 2 pts behind 2nd placed Wye Valley. Liza again had a good run (28th, 43.17), with Karen in 37th (44.53)
