Knill 2 Rivers Run

A much drier day this time, and even pleasantly sunny at the start; only 53 runners but still an improvement on last year. With better running conditions it was clear the record was going to be broken, which Matt James (55.52) and Stacey (55.54) both managed by some margin. Stacey obviously enjoyed the largely firm ground but was just beaten by Matt, who duly won £10 for breaking the record. Simon was 3rd (58.26), but was followed by 2 Couriers who made up the winning team with Matt. Young Dave R was 10th (62.41), just ahead of chairman Dave (12th, 63.54) making a steady comeback after injury. Jon ran well to finish 15th (65.44). Chris Goode (recorded as a Croft runner!) beat Guy into 21st (68.57 – 1st MV65), with Gary 24th (71.02) [2 races in 2 days!] and Tom 28th (74.25) just ahead of an improving Frank (30th, 74.37). Rachel was awarded 1st FV40 (42nd, 85.42) and Catherine finished 49th in 96.29.
