Magic Roundabout

News

The usual comedy routine at the start, before 167 runners (followed 5 minutes later by dogs and their owners) set off round this ‘undulating’10k course. Dry and dusty throughout, but soft cushion on the grassy bits. Although there was little direct sun, it was hot and humid too, so the drinks station at the 6k point was very welcome. There then followed three testing hills before the final drop down to the finish. Sue had a good race, finishing 3rd lady and 1st over 45. Stacey ran well to finish 6th (40.03), and Mark was 21st (43.53). Tom and Nicky completed their last race (thankfully, and with much fatigue) before the demands next weekend of the Man v. Horse competition. Kayleigh caught Bryan (doing a dummy run for over 70 category next month) on the line and was first junior lady, in her first race. Very well done! Full results on results page.
