700 runners turned up for this event, starting and finishing in the showground.
Matt James came home first, a minute in front. I paid the price for an over ambitious pace early on, smashed my 10k pb on route but blew up at 7 miles; it was a real struggle from then on in.
It was very windy for the second half of the course, which brought your running speed down to near walking pace in places.
