Moutier d’Ahun 10k

Another Ascension day in France, so time for another 10k. Again a chilly start for the 71 runners, but we soon warmed up over the flattish first 3k on roads. I found myself running the whole race alone (the only potential company was the first lady, who overtook me on a steep hill with 2k to go, but I couldn’t match her speed), and again in silence – no words of encouragement from marshals or the few spectators. I crossed the line 8 seconds slower than 2 yrs ago, in 24th place (45.59)
