Powis Arms 6 – Simon N

Me and Beth were at a friend’s wedding at the weekend and by chance there was a superb 6 mile off road hill race at Lydbury North which is 4 miles from Purslow.
For a new race it was not a bad turnout of 23 runners, mainly from Mercia Fell runners and Shrewsbury. Only £5 entry and great prizes with a goody bag for everyone and cakes after race !!
The course had everything, hills, forest tracks and fields, stiles etc. I have told the organiser he needs to put it on either a week earlier or later as it also clashes with Ludlow tri. It’s also all for charity (Air Ambulance) so definitely one for next year.
Of course I enjoyed it  as my wife Beth races in very few races and today finished 21st in a time of 1.02. I won outright by over 3 mins in a time of 40.46 so well pleased today.
