This years race was unfortunately quite poorly supported which is a shame as this is quite an entertaining run through undulating woodland and farmland which of course includes two river crossings.
Although rain was forecast the weather managed to remain dry although after recent rain the course wasn’t as muddy as was expected.
The 28 finishers were led home by Jonny Pugh of Builth in 53:50 followed by Matt James (Couriers) 55:36 and John Pullen (Wye Valley) 3rd in 57:51,
with 19 year old Elliot Taylor (Couriers) 4th and the last runner to break 1 hour finishing in 59.55.
Top ladies were; Celia Speake (Builth) 11th o/a in 73:11 and Nicole Johnstone (Builth) 18th o/a 85:57
Five Croft runners made the finish with Dave Rouse(Jr) 5th o/a in 61:58, Mick Ligema 7th o/a and 1st MV50 in 65:25, Frank Luscott 12th in 73:45 Bryan Lloyd 17th in 79:56 and Bryan (El Presidente) Markham 23rd in 94:53 and 1st MV70.
Dave George also started but unfortunately had to pull out early due to pain from a back injury.
