A small turnout on a day that started wet and cold. By the start the rain had stopped, leaving sticky conditions especially on the steeper slopes. Croft women all ran really well, with Sue in 2nd place (36.18) well clear of the rest of the field. Linda showed her determination with a fine 8th (39.35), with Jo 11th, also running a fine race. Sam improved her position again, coming home in 15th. Charlotte chose to run this rather than the County Championships at the race course, and got round in 21st place, a little ahead of Rachel (23rd). In the absence of Stacey and Simon, Neil P was the first Croft runner to cross the line in 12th (58.23), some way ahead of Dave G (22nd) and Dave A (25th). Mick, having a good comeback run, was 2nd MV55 on the day and 27th overall, and completed the A team. Ian P also returned and had a good race, 3rd MV60 (a very strong category) and 34th overall. The B team packed well: Guy (41st) 6 seconds ahead of Gary (42nd) who had raced at Carding Mill the day before, Angus (43rd) and Tom (44th) (another who had done the fell race), leading home a line of 5 over 60s. Ashley (3 seconds behind Tom) was 45th with Neil T in 49th. Poor Mark had an off day and finished just ahead of Frank. Results on results page.
