News

For the first time, pre-entries exceeded entries on the day, and the rain kept off and gave us one of the pleasantest days for a number of years. 101 runners completed the course, which was dry despite some overnight rain and we even expected records to be broken. Jon Pugh (Builth) won the men’s race in 34.49, but the margin over Luke Mason (Wye Valley)(35.43) was less than one might have expected. Simon led home the Croft contingent, in 5th place (37.29) ahead of Dave A (8th, 39.47) and Dave G (9th, 40.02) followed by Neil P (13th, 41.36), Stuart (16th, 42.04 – 1st over 45) and Mick (17th, 42.30 – 1st over 50). Jon, Gary, Neil also ran. Liza helped fill the Austin family trophy shelf, winning the women’s over 45 (59th, 52.16). Full results on the Results page (go to Events, and click on Results)
