Denise Boden (Ludlow Runners) Laura Farr (1st half marathon) & me arrived at Worcester rugby club on a lovely sunny morning, but cold to run the half marathon
We parked quickly, got ready and went to the start line, I took Gary’s advice and got as near to the front as possible. We set off and it went really well. It’s a lovely route along country roads and through some pretty villages, there was lots of support along the route. It was a very emotional run for me as my lovely Dad passed away at St Richards Hospice & this run is on behalf of the hospice and I was running to raise money for them. It turned out to be my personal best and I completed it in 1:45:43, placed 12th lady and 2nd in FV45; I was really pleased with this. Denise did 2:15:50 & Laura 2:15:02, so they did really well too.
