Sorry about the delay on doing a race report!
The Tenbury 10k sold out very early and a few Croft runners may well have missed out on this, the fourth of the 2019 club championship races, but 20 Croft runners took part.
It is an undulating road 10k and was on one of the hot sunny days of the summer. There were supportive crowds, it was lovely to see one elderly spectator outside her house in a deck chair shouting support as runners past. Another welcome spectator had a hosepipe and it was a pleasure to run past him with his cooling spray!
It was also good to see Lucy and Roxy marshalling and cheering on the Croft runners, although we would have rather seen them running.
The route is tough, There are a few steep hills and one part where you run down a road to loop back uphill, but watching out for team mates does help to distract from the challenge.
A goodie bag including a medal for all at the end and some free fruit for the runners from a local supplier are always a welcome treat.

It’s all looking like a very competitive club championship series this year – the next one is the Brown Clee Burn so get your entries in!
