Trunce 7

Race Reports
The Trunce is a series of 9 races held each year over the same 4 mile multi terrain course at Oxspring on the borders of the Peak District – too far to go just to do the race but well worth doing if you are in the area with time to spare!
The course over stone track, road and paths includes three river crossings and 2 climbs totalling about 500 feet. There is often a large entry of more than 250, probably due to the £1.50 entry fee, with abilities ranging from Internationals to slow joggers.
On a brief visit to the High Peak Alison and TomD took part in race number 7, finishing 247th and 248th in 51.25. There were 259 runners on the night  and the winner, who remained nameless on the results sheet! finished in 24.38. First lady was Ellie Crownshaw in 29.54.
