Nearly 300 runners completed the recent Cader Idris fell race, which was not for the faint-hearted. 10.5 miles, up to the summit of Cader Idris (2927ft) and back. Looking at the pictures taken near the summit, you can see the trickiness of the rocky terrain, which all but three of the starters managed to negotiate successfully. Andy Davies was first, in 1.29.17, with Andy Salt coming in in a commendable 11th place, in 1.36.16.
